Approach

Ruth enables people to successfully adapt to change at work. She blends coaching, consulting and facilitation to enable leaders and their teams to achieve individual and organisational goals. Ruth is engaged by organisations to assist leaders to lead change and transformation: transition into new roles and to empower teams to develop the collective intelligence required to address material organisational issues.

Ruth has experience of working in the private and public sector, partnerships, start-ups and global multinationals. She works with leaders at Senior, Executive and Board levels and specialises in how they lead, motivate and engage their teams. Alongside her practice, Ruth is conducting pioneering PhD research into Group Coaching for Leaders making the transition into senior positions. This has given her an in depth understanding of the psychological process of transition as well as the knowledge and skills to work with Groups and Teams at an advanced level.

Ruth’s clients describe her as being pragmatic, direct, skilled, flexible and empathetic. She has high credibility, and creates supportive, challenging relationships. Outcomes include higher levels of resilience and adaptability, to sustain productivity through disruption to deliver successful change: greater levels of self-awareness and improved collaborative relationships. Ruth has an MSc in coaching and development and is an EMCC accredited coach to Master Practitioner level.

Background

Prior to coaching, Ruth was a management consultant with PwC and also occupied roles within Sales, Marketing, PR and Distribution in the energy sector (Mobil Oil & Esso Petroleum). Her work on organisational change management programmes covered areas of process redesign, culture change and leadership development within blue chip multinational organisations.

Ruth has also worked alongside Olympian David Hemery to develop a soft legacy for the Olympic Games through the development of coaching skills in schools. This sparked a passion for education and she sits on the Board of the Bourne Education Trust.
