Paul’s approach is flexible, focused on value, engaging and personable. He bases his work on the foundation of a trusting open relationship which enables both support and challenge. This helps his clients go further faster. Paul works with individuals to help them enhance their thinking; he explores how they make decisions and what will give them confidence and clarity in their actions and behaviours.
Paul draws on psychology and neuroscience and is happy to share models, tools and techniques with those he works with. He aims to combine scientific and data based approaches, with a practical and human approach. He is particularly focussed on enabling his clients to continue to flourish even after the coaching has finished.
Before coaching, Paul qualified as a chartered accountant and worked for over a decade in the restructuring practice at one of the 'Big Four'. He advised leadership teams on cash flow management, debt and equity financing, stakeholder relationships and leadership dynamics. Paul also worked at a large clearing bank and in Australia and the Pacific region for a number of years.
In his early 30s he survived a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia. This experience, mixed with his work in business in distress, led to his interest in helping individuals and teams going through change, challenge and uncertainty in their work. He has spent 15 years building practical, academic and professional experience to be able to help individuals and teams in a variety of styles and approaches.
