Gillian helps clients to develop their strategic, leadership, and relationship skills. A primary focus of the coaching is enabling clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and what influences, motivates, and fulfils them. Gillian helps her clients understand how they are perceived by others and the impact that their behaviour has on them, and as a result strengthen their working relationships and handle conflicts effectively.

She also supports clients during organisation, team, and role changes and transitions, and to consider their future career or retirement and prepare their next steps.

The coaching pace and process is always tailored to the clients’ individual needs and objectives. Conversations with Gillian help clients to examine their current approaches, to plan new strategies, to reflect on their progress, and to learn from their experiences.

Gillian works in partnership with her clients to help them achieve their goals, to believe in their abilities and so be confident in their role, to stay true to themselves, and to make both immediate and lasting changes.

Background

Gillian has specialised in leadership development for over 35 years and has extensive line management experience. She held a number of senior development roles within the financial services and manufacturing industries, including Management and Organisation Development at GE Capital Finance, and at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she had responsibility for Executive Development.

Gillian is a qualified executive coach, coach supervisor and Thinking Environment facilitator.
