Avalyn Lim
Avalyn believes that everyone holds the answers they seek within them. She begins from a place of enquiry and deep listening to assist her clients unearth their conscious as well as unconscious beliefs and thought patterns that impact their performance, working relationships and self-esteem.
Through this process, Avalyn connects with her clients on more than a cognitive level using perception and deep empathy, and clients are offered tools to deepen their self-awareness, self-enquiry, and reflective practice so as to enhance their focus, communication effectiveness, and impact on the teams and organisations they lead.
Described as a 'rare coach' and 'on top of her game', Avalyn has an adaptive style of coaching and uses a range of approaches including vertical development and narrative coaching to meet the diverse needs of her clients. She can be both supportive and challenging to help clients achieve their goals, and thrive in both their personal life and professional environment.
Prior to coaching, Avalyn started her career at a leading law firm in Singapore. She left legal practice in 2000, and has since worked in large corporations (Fortune 100), SMEs, and Start-ups, holding a broad range of regional and global roles in business development, corporate partnerships, branding, and project management. From her own professional experience, Avalyn understands the challenges and complexities that senior executives face, and she brings this context into her coaching conversations to ensure relevance for clients.
In addition to her law degree, she holds dual Executive Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD and Tsinghua School of Economics & Management in Beijing.
